i'm kinda like that with my own cartoon, i only watch the long as shit eps when i'm doing other thing like having dinner or something i let the ep playing then do something else while laughing with my own stuff, or just watch the parts i want, the beach city ep i watched it like 20 times before releasing just looking for mistakes (still some mistakes made it to the final version)

Just in general, I've found it hard to sit and watch cartoons (especially children's cartoons for obvious reasons, but also adult cartoons and anime) ever since I started making my own stuff. I don't know, I always get this nagging feeling that I should be making my own stuff to share with others instead of just watching lazily watching TV like everyone else. I think SpongeBob SquarePants and Family Guy were both still good the last time I've been able to relax and watch an entire show without that nagging thought.
Meanwhile I have almost 200 hours logged into Super Robot Wars 30 at this point because video games are still voodoo magic to me, which I guess means I have a much longer attention span for anything other medium besides animation, so long as I can't figure out how the "sausage is made," so to speak.
yo dude, that's exactly what i feel, damn, while i'm watching everything there is something on my brain telling me "yo, you got your own cartoon, that thing ain't going to make it by itself, go back to work" lol
@TheMiamiDeSantos It's important for both of us to have some free time to do nothing productive and refuel our minds (I usually have to force myself to take a Sabbath at least one day a week and stay away from my animation software for the day), but I suppose it's good that I have other hobbies to choose from besides watching animations when I want to take a break from animation.
I've also heard that a lot of famous game developers actually avoid playing video games for the same reason, it reminds them too much of their work and they also want to have a wider variety of influences than other video games to choose from, so for me maybe it's just I want my stuff to be more creative than just a homage to an already-popular cartoon or anime.
yo, now that's right, keep the sabbath holy, unfortunately i can't keep the (whole) sabbath holy anymore, as i am back into the pizza parlor business so i gotta work friday night, but i'm keeping almost all of saturday day of work, sometime ago i was able to keep the sabbath properly, but i'm unfortunately i'm not anymore (but i will again).
I also know how it's like to have a wide variety of influences other than the stuff, as myself i got few of animated influences, mostly of my main influences are non animated stuff like metal music, grand theft auto games, the bible, etc
i have been also meditating a lot of my metal influences, specially repulsion, carcass and napalm death, listening to repulsion right now, i'm listening too much of that band lol, i'm still trying to figure out a way to transmit the same or similar feelings of listening to grinding metal music into animation, but it's hard as shix lol i think i will never be able to do it, guess cartoons and metal music are two too different things
