To be fair, I would get "cancelled" for stereotyping an entire culture if I drew Brazilian characters like how Brazilians draw Brazilian characters. It's like how Japanese anime sometimes has these characters with slanted eyes and buck teeth, yet if an American artist drew Asian people that way they would be called a racist and never be able to find work again. Gotta draw every culture that's not my own as idealized and as pretty as possible, for the sake of my reputation in the States!
Also, I have to wonder what Brazilians think about the depiction of their culture in that "Smiling Friends Go to Brazil" episode...

i think it's funny the stereotyped brazilian stuff when done for comic purposes, generally they only portray a few parts of brazil (specially Rio) while here in brazil we have different places with different cultures and stuff, it's like everybody when portraying america make it looks like everywhere in america is texas.
the smilling friends in brazil ep was cool, mostly the generic stuff when they portray brazil, they went exactly to Rio, the dude like "are you tourists? are you tourists? do you have money?" lol, here in brazil there are a lot of junkies, hobos and beggars asking your for something, specially here in Santos, near santos there is a city called Monguaguá, best known for having a big prison there and they drop a lot of their junkies and prisoners here in santos, so you really gotta watch yourself with those dudes, there are some places i ain't even go just to avoid them
