Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:37-40
First thing is to love the Creator second thing is to love it's creations, basic rules of coexistence by which are the key for a better world. Third place are "spiritual hygiene" stuff like avoid sins like debauchery, alcoholism, pride, etc, keep the sabbath holy, avoid pork, exotic meat like bat, rat, dog, anal intercourse, sex with animals, etc, etc
And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
Jeremiah 29:7
"for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.", notice: the peace of the place you're living in will be your peace too, notice how it's important to care about the well being of the people
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:9-19

Interesting! Thank you so much for sharing! This really lifted my morning. :)
It reminds me of a recent talk by the president of my church about the contention we see in the world today and the importance of being a peacemaker:

Of course, there's also the consideration of which way you face when it comes to the first and second great commandments. We shouldn't be so afraid of offending others who disagree with us that we forget our foremost accountability is to God. It's a tough one to balance, but I think that third thing you mention, spiritual hygiene, is key to finding that balance. When we remember to do those small, simple things--consistent prayer, daily scripture study, church attendance, keeping our hearts and actions clean--it's easier to emulate the Savior's example of love and obedience.

yo dude that's great, i'm glad to read it. Yeah, everything that the bible teach is important, the first, the second and the third ones. "We shouldn't be so afraid of offending others who disagree with us" yeah it's very important indeed, like a mom or dad or even an older brother scolding a son with bad behaviour or something, that's true love
