here in brazil there ain't even the american football, but soccer it's everywhere that bullshit, soccer games, people talking about soccer, the news talking about soccer, etc. The american football is kinda funny, the guys attacking each other like a bunch of barbarians haha
@TheMiamiDeSantos Yeah, if any country besides the United States has (American) Football, I’ve yet to see it. There’s even some weird former football player, Herschel Walker, currently trying to run as one of the Senators of Georgia in the Georgia run-off today! Thankfully, given the results of the US Midterm Election last month, I’m not paying too much attention to that because it’s low stakes for everyone outside of the state of Georgia, but for those people’s sake I hope the more professional Raphael Warnock wins.
But enough making you anxious about some other country’s politics. The way you describe how Brazilians obsess over soccer reminds me how in my particular neck of the woods, people act like the developments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the MCU) are a huge deal and I MUST watch every low-quality MCU show on Disney Plus like my life depends on it! I haven’t watched any Marvel media since Spider-Man: No Way Home (that was a good one), so, uh, turns out my life doesn’t depend on it.

So i'm paying more attention to things happening here in brazil, the stupid brazilian real R$ going down with the brazilian stock exchanges, something like covid seens to be going back on china by which probably after the stupid world cup and the stupid xmas and new years orgy parties end we gonna have something like lockdowns, so i think 2023 will be packing a lot of surprises
