Even if America is not doing well rn, I am happy I live in a nice country.

yo that's good, america doing not well is like better than brazil never ever been (or maybe never will be). Thank God I live in one of the best cities in brazil, i think living here is good i imagine how it would be in a good or average place in america

ohhh mango joe

Outside of some very corrupt people in the Supreme Court telling me what I can and can't do, I haven't had much reason to pay attention to the news until next year's Presidential Election. Pretty great, honestly, to just focus almost strictly on improving my art on off-years. Of course, it felt like years since I was allowed to ignore the talking heads on the TV.

Remember the phrase "the grass is greener on the other side," though. I find it hard to believe that Americans, at least the ones that actively refuse to learn and grow as a person, are that much more likely to be able tie their own shoes without the government's assistance than the Brazilians you talk about.

yo, yo guys have problems with supreme court too? you said some, here we have basically all of them very corrupts (we got 11 here). "the grass is greener on the other side", i don't think this is the case though, we comparing an world power with an underdeveloped country, sure as the first world power you guys should be doing better like USA gdp is like x10+ the brazil gdp and i don't think you guys live like 4x better than a brazilian so it means a lot of you guys' money are going somewhere else (like 60% of it or even more). But still america looks like a good place (at least in comparision to brazil, mexico, venezuela, angola, etc), so you guys gotta be thankful, proud and even fight for keep it and make it better

@TheMiamiDeSantos Well, we certainly fight to make it better. And it's all subjective, too--some Americans are actually pleased that the current US Supreme Court is packed with judges picked by the most unpopular one-term Presidents in recent history whose sole purpose in life is to deny younger generations the same privileges their parents and grandparents enjoyed for the last 50 years. Unless we have the means to immediately pack up and leave the country, we might as well just try to focus on the good and fight to make our current residence more just (though again, different people have different ideas of what "justice" means).

yeah people have different way of thinking, but justice is justice, what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong, overall things are simple, basic maths, people well being, etc, media and politicians with their speech makes it look like everything is very complex and subjective, then a right wing is born, a left wing is born, a communist, a socialist, an anarquist, an ancap, etc, etc, etc, they all wrong, everyone has something to complain at least with one of those ideas, but still people thinks they make sense and are fighting for them lol
Everywhere there will be people grated with mediocrity and lies, in the world there is more fools than wises
People wants to fly flags like it's a soccer match, the right wing team, the left wing team, the communist team, the ancap team, etc... less flags, less labels, more thinking, more sense, more reasoning, what makes more sense shall win
