@TheMiamiDeSantos bank in my language means couch
mine too, "banco" can be a "bench" or even a "stool"
I THINK this is just you being funny, but I was in such a bad state of mind when I was 23 (back in 2017, I think) that I probably would have bugged random workers about my doomsday fears and be 100% serious about it.
Thankfully, being in the reverse situation (being accosted daily as a grocery clerk by anxious customers looking to blame/strangle anyone for COVID, mask mandates, inflation, or even made-up stuff they heard in tabloid magazines) ensured I wouldn’t act like that around a stressed-out employee. Unless I wanted to be funny, of course.
well, i used to be skeptical, when i heard something like "jesus is coming" i would just make fun of it, "conspiracy theories" for me where just a bunch of crazy paranoid stuff, but their conspiracy theories started to come true... in 2020 we had a pandemic, they were already talking about it when bill gates said, the fema caskets stuff, we have in Mark 13;7 "wars and rumours of wars" now we have russia x ukraine and nuclear wars rumours. In Apocalypse/Revelation 6;7 we have "the pale horse named death with power to kill the fourth part of the earth by sword, hunger and plague", we have war in europe, hunger on latin america (venezuela, argentina, colombia, and brazil is about to ellect a communist president), plague we had the covid pandemic and others potential diseases to be pandemic.
I was thinking about this great worldwide blackout then decided to mail my bank to see what they had to say about it. It may not happen i hope it don't but after we all have been through, i don't doubt anything anymore
@TheMiamiDeSantos Well, people have been warning about the end times every single time "wars and rumors of wars" happen. I remember when there were books claiming Saddam Hussein would be the one to bring about Armageddon, and he's been dethroned and dead for about 20 years now. And of course people have taken things like 9/11, Donald Trump's election win in 1963, the Cuban Missile Crisis waaaay back in 1963, and such other bad things as a sign that our time was up, and those are just things that only concerned the United States specifically.
We can't predict the future, and horrible tragedies are always going to happen no matter the year or whoever's in charge of a given country at the time, so all we can do is adapt to certain challenges as best as we can and try not to let them get to us so we can still be productive and maybe at least become rich doing what we do best so that less things, like economic inflation, devastate our lives as much. And give back as best as we can, too, by trying not to be selfish with our blessings.
That said, what concerned me in 2017 and still concerns me now is how we humans deal with climate change--I definitely feel a lot of modern problems, particularly the pandemic and the possibility of more pandemics, are aggravated by rising emissions, plus we are giving way too much power to power-hungry petrol states like Russia and the United Arab Emirates by still depending WAY too much on their oil and their oil own. We need to switch to renewable energy and invest in newer, more efficient forms of powering our modern lives not just to maintain our current lifestyles and ensure the continued existence of our species, but simply because electricity and gas prices are ridiculous and that's exactly what warmongers like Vladimir Putin want, for us to go crazy over inflation and desperately vote for more-sympathetic warmongers in our own country. Naturally as someone who is half-Cuban, I don't know what to tell you if your next President is communist, but hopefully they will not try to destroy the Amazon Rainforest like the last guy.
Sorry to hear that you're concerned about what's going on in Brazil and the rest of the world, but at least as an artist you have an escape from the news that. Also, I don't know what the news media is like in Brazil, but I can tell you in the US that a lot of our media is pretty biased for the most part, making us scared at all times about even the littlest things just to make us vote or worship God a certain way. I'm not one of those people that are like "Everything that makes me feel bad is fake news!" But I try to limit myself to only reading it one day a week and take advantage of the speed of modern online reading to read multiple perspectives of the same story and hopefully find the truth somewhere in the middle. The rest of the week I merely focus on what I can do something about.
yeah, but relax dude, as a christian the apocalypse and the return of christ is our redemption, no need to worry too much. We gotta just watch out for the signs as jesus may return anytime (Revelations 22;7). Also, there is too much: wars, rumours of wars, plagues, hunger and it may come to brazil, the country by which sells food to everyone even china, food here was cheap, now it's getting more and more expensive. The communist president (Lula) was president on 2002, in his government the burning of amazon was more than during bolsonaro government, that lula been funding the dictatorship of countries like cuba and venezuela as well other socialist african countries (he is a friend of all those dictators), they have a plan to make a thing they call "URSAL" somekind of URSS but in latin america. Also U.S.A. and China are all buying many slices of brazil, jp morgan and some other banks did buy our hydroeletric energy (Eletrobras), and they're slowly buying our oil refinery (Petrobras). The external debt in brazil is rising and rising, it's already 3 times larger than the brazilian GDP, yeah brazil is going downhill to a economical disaster. But we gotta relax, be strong and prepare ourselves the way we can
@TheMiamiDeSantos …Maybe I shouldn’t have read about what’s going on in Brazil right before going to bed. Stay strong.
relax dude, i know people from mexico, angola, venezuela, some of them still laugh and ting, they say things like "i'm fine". It's not all lost, relax, overall life is good, we just gotta be wise while dealing with problems
@TheMiamiDeSantos Also I just made a really silly typo—Donald Trump was elected in 2016, not 1963, obviously.
