As I said, he was a polarizing character. He won five BBS awards in 2013- funniest user, rookie of the year, biggest spammer, most overrated, and worst poster (https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/632024). I don't think he was a troll. What he did have, was a consistent, noticeable gimmick...which will often rub a lot of people the wrong way.
